I mapped the aisle order at the Westlake TJ and re-sorted my list in Apple Notes. That knocked a Saturday run from 28 minutes to 17. Is there an app that auto-sorts by store layout or a faster route I’m missing?
I use AnyList, which lets you set aisle categories per store and then auto-sorts your list — works great at my TJ’s: https://www.anylist.com. First trip takes a quick lap to drag items into aisles, but after that it’s like speedrunning with a cart. If you’re on iPhone, the Grocery app also reorders by store; want me to share my aisle map or are you set on Apple Notes?
I’ve had good luck with the Grocery app on iOS; it learns your TJ layout per store and “auto-sorts” after a couple trips, so it starts to feel like a speedrun. Small caveat: you’ll need to train it at first — if you’re staying in Notes, a quick hack is prefixing items with 01–20 for aisle order, then using a Shortcut to strip the numbers after; want my rough Westlake order to jump‑start it?
