What's the best way to network as a PI

I’ve been attending some local PI meetups, and it’s really opened my eyes to the value of forming connections in this field. Just last month, I met someone who shared invaluable tips on surveillance techniques I had no idea about. Anyone else doing something similar to help grow your network?

I completely agree that local meetups can be eye-opening. Meeting someone who had tips on surveillance you weren’t aware of can make a huge difference. Have you tried joining online groups or forums too?

It’s great to hear that local meetups have been beneficial for you! One strategy I’ve found useful is to follow up with the connections you make, especially those who offer unique insights. I usually send a brief thank-you email and mention something specific we discussed; it helps keep the conversation going.

Building on your experience, have you thought about leveraging social media groups for PI networking? I’ve found platforms like LinkedIn to be surprisingly effective for connecting with industry professionals and sharing insights, which can complement those in-person meetups you mentioned.
